In support of Queensland’s sporting heroes, The Chelsea Bistro is winning over fans with their ‘Breakfast of Champions’ that will be trialled and tested by our state’s best rugby players this Friday April 4.
The sea of red jerseys and contagious atmosphere at The Barracks precinct is what prompted the bistro to create this breakfast special of baked eggs with pork and fennel sausage in a spicy tomato sauce, that can be enjoyed during April.
The Chelsea Bistro has invited James Horwill, and some other key rugby union players this Friday morning to taste the highlight dish ahead of their home game this Saturday April 5.
Owner of The Chelsea Bistro and proud Queenslander, Steve Ackerie is a big supporter of the local team and describes the atmosphere around game time to be like a carnival.
“We’ve loved seeing the boys down here enjoying meals with their friends and families over the years, and the ‘Breakfast of Champions’ special is The Chelsea’s way of giving our support back,” said Ackerie.
“The team spirit in Brisbane is well and truly alive at this time of year, and we like to be as much part of the comradery as possible.”
Rugby Union’s leading man, James Horwill, an avid Chelsea Bistro fan and local resident, said having a good breaky before a big game is so important for the team’s on-field performance.
“Well fed men off the field means better stamina on the field.”
“I can’t go past the poached eggs and the team at The Chelsea always make us feel right at home.”
Fans are welcomed to experience the specials’ debut alongside their favourite players this Friday April 4.
